Playgroup Sessions

  • Our beautiful play sessions are held outdoors in all weather, with the exception of hail, thunder, lightning or forceful gusts of wind. We ask that you please bare this in mind when dressing and packing to attend our sessions, we encourage you to consider:

    • Nourishing morning tea

    • A drink bottle for both you and your mini

    • Weather appropriate gear - gum boots, rain pants, rain jacket in the event of predicted rain, etc.

    • Broad-brimmed hat

    • Shoes that support exploration (enclosed/barefoot shoes)

    • Spare change of clothes in the event of water play, sand that you do not wish to bring home with you, etc.

  • We are advocates for nature play occurring in all weather conditions, so long as it is within safe limits.

In the event of unsafe conditions, you will be notified of the cancellation prior to the commencement of session via email and issued a refund or opportunity to reschedule your session.

  • You can find a park either side of the street, leaving the cul-de-sac free and available as the turning circle needed to safely navigate the street. We ask that you please drive mindfully when coming to or from sessions as there are many children who live in the area and often play along the sides of the road with the many tree swings available.

  • Our space caters for children aged birth to five years. Children are required to be accompanied by a trusted parent or caregiver.

There is such variety in the experiences and space provided to our families that children of all ages will benefit greatly from their explorations.

  • Our mornings begin with being welcomed at our gate down the side entrance of the house. Here our facilitator will check you in and touch base with how you and your little one have been going over the past week to know how to best support you in your session. As you're welcomed in, you will be invited to gather for our morning circle and story before moving on to prepare our bread together ready for the oven. As you and your children immerse yourselves in a variety of nature play experiences, tend to the garden space, connect with those around you, our beautiful bread will bake away in the oven ready for our shared morning tea together.

  • Email wwanderersco@gmail.com with your name and any changes that need to be made. We will strive to reschedule you to a day that date that works for you. If not able to find a date that suits, a refund will be provided when provided with 48hours notice.

Circle of Security Workshops

  • Throughout this empowering program, you will:

    • Confidently understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read their emotional needs more effectively

    • Support your child’s ability to successfully manage their emotions through co-regulation techniques

    • Enhance the development of your child's self esteem as their trust in your responsiveness increases

    • Honour your innate wisdom as a parent and your child's desire for security

  • This workshop is for parents of children aged six months to six years who would like to strengthen their relationship with their child, those who are maybe needing further support in reflecting on the ways in which they were parented, and how this may be influencing the ways in which we parent our own children.

    Facilitator: Jess

Jess' group is running for 8 weeks on a Tuesday evening at 7:30pm from 29th October.

  • $399 AUD - Individual

    OR

    $549 AUD - Couple

    • Payment plans available upon request

  • Each week we will meet via Zoom to work through a chapter of the Circle of Security together. The content of the program utilises video demonstration, individual exercises and collaborative group discussions.

In the week between sessions, this time encourages you to digest, practice and reflect on the content you have just learnt. At the beginning of each session, you will be invited to share your ‘Circle Stories’ that have cropped up in our time apart.

Please note that these sessions can’t be recorded to maintain the confidentiality of the group. This is a guideline issues by Circle of Security International themselves.

If you know you may be away for one of the weeks, you can contact your facilitator to arrange a catch up session, this may involve having a 30 minute session with your facilitator to watch the content from the previous chapter.

  • Each session allows for 1.5 hours total, this ensures that there is ample time to engage in shared discussion for when these times arise. If needing to unpack anything further, there will be an extra 30 minutes after the session has come to an end, where you can continue your discussion with your facilitator and any other participants that are willing and able to join.

  • We understand that having access to childcare isn't necessarily attainable for everyone, so to ensure this course is as accessible as we wish for it be, you are most welcome to have your little ones with you. All that we ask is that you mute your microphone is during the sessions and try to join in on discussions where you can.

  • Unfortunately this is not a self-paced workshop. The premise of the Circle of Security program is to be implemented in a group reflective dynamic. Although the content is fabulous in its own right, the program really comes into its own when we are able to share in group reflections with one another. You will find these sessions become quite powerfully moving and we gain a great deal more from the content that sparks these discussions.

  • No need to worry! There are four intakes a year, as these sessions will follow the beginning of each NSW public school term date.

  • Yes you can claim on your NDIS funding for this course if you are self or plan managed.

Becky and James

“Jess created such a beautiful, safe and welcoming space for us to explore the Circle of Security Parenting Course. She was patient, kind in her delivery and is a wealth of knowledge in all things child development. We are so grateful that Jess took us through this course to support us on our own parenting journey. Thank you again!”

Jen and Michael

“Jess is just incredible! The concepts within the Circle of Security alone are powerful, but when delivered by someone as engaging and insightful as Jess, it really becomes something special. The lessons have sparked so many conversations in our house that have completely changed the way we approach parenting and even relationships in general. Thank you Jess! It’s been amazing!”
