Circle of Security Parenting

Have you ever felt completely overwhelmed and at a total loss as to what your child is wanting from you? Maybe you’ve heard about the benefits of a gentle or nurturing parenting approach but feel at a total loss as to how to implement these approaches yourself?

Often times parenting can feel like we’ve been given a bunch of puzzle pieces without a picture guiding us as to what it’s meant to look like once it’s complete - overwhelming, right? But just imagine what it might feel like if someone was able to give you the picture for that puzzle …

The Circle of Security Parenting Program is an internationally renowned group coaching program formulated on decades worth of research into attachment science that gives us the tools and insight to read our children’s needs underneath their behaviours. It invites us to strengthen our relationship with them, and to acknowledge, value and honour our imperfect, authentic and ‘ good-enough’ parenting.

This workshop will completely change your perspective on parenting and empower you with the tools needed to feel confident in your choices, knowing that you are making the best decisions required to foster the sacred connection that exists between child and parent.

  • Each week we will meet to work through a chapter of the Circle of Security together. The content of the program utilises video demonstration, individual exercises and collaborative group discussions.

In the week between sessions, this time encourages you to digest, practice and reflect on the content you have just learnt. At the beginning of each session, you will be invited to share your ‘Circle Stories’ that have cropped up in our time apart.

Please note that these sessions can’t be recorded to maintain the confidentiality of the group. This is a guideline issues by Circle of Security International themselves.

If you know you may be away for one of the weeks, you can contact your facilitator to arrange a catch up session, this may involve having a 30 minute online session with your facilitator to watch the content from the previous chapter.

  • Each session allows for 1.5 hours total, this ensures that there is ample time to engage in shared discussion for when these times arise. If needing to unpack anything further, there will be an extra 30 minutes after the session has come to an end, where you can continue your discussion with your facilitator and any other participants that are willing and able to join.

  • We do ask that you arrange childcare for your little one(s) to ensure that you are able to participate and absorb the content delivered without distractions. If for whatever reason, your child needs to attend a session with you, we ask that you provide your facilitator ahead of time and do so with the expectation that you may be required to support your child in a way that minimises the distractions of the others in attendance (going for a walk to reset, etc.).

  • Unfortunately this is not a self-paced workshop. The premise of the Circle of Security program is to be implemented in a group reflective dynamic. Although the content is fabulous in its own right, the program really comes into its own when we are able to share in group reflections with one another. You will find these sessions become quite powerfully moving and we gain a great deal more from the content that sparks these discussions.

  • No need to worry! There are four intakes a year, as these sessions will follow the beginning of each NSW public school term date.

  • Yes you can claim on your NDIS funding for this course if you are self or plan managed.

  • If needing to withdraw from your spot in the workshop, you are eligible to recieve a full refund up to 72 hours prior to the commencement of the first workshop session.

Please allow up to ten working days for your refund to be successfully complete.

“Jess is just incredible! The concepts within the Circle of Security alone are powerful, but when delivered by someone as engaging and insightful as Jess, it really becomes something special. The lessons have sparked so many conversations in our house that have completely changed the way we approach parenting and even relationships in general. Thank you Jess! It’s been amazing!”

Becky and James

“Jess created such a beautiful, safe and welcoming space for us to explore the Circle of Security Parenting Course. She was patient, kind in her delivery and is a wealth of knowledge in all things child development. We are so grateful that Jess took us through this course to support us on our own parenting journey. Thank you again!”
