About Us
Wild Wanderers was born from the vision of bringing together evidence-based practice on attachment-focused care, nature play and play-based learning. As I became a mother for the first time myself, I couldn’t help but feel completely overwhelmed by the amount of misinformation so readily pushed on new and impressionable families. I also grow increasingly concerned that our modern way of life is resulting in both children and their families becoming more and more disconnected from ourselves, our children and most importantly the art of play, particularly in the natural world.
In an attempt to ‘close the gap’ that I have witnessed, I have created a space that I believe to be exactly what we need as a society - a space to evolve our parenting practices, enrich and empower not only our parenting toolkits but to do so during the most critical years of our children’s lives. I look forward to having you find ‘your village’ here at Wild Wanderers - a community that we have all been living for far too long without.
“Children more than ever, need opportunities to be in their bodies in the world - jumping rope, bicycling, stream hopping, and fort building; in this engagement between limbs of the body and bones of the earth is where true balance and centeredness emerge.”

I am a degree qualified Early Childhood Teacher and Circle of Security Facilitator, with further training in holistic approaches to sleep, lactation, and infant cry-fuss problems. My background stems from just under a decade in the early childhood education space, working as an educational leader and supporting my team in bringing nurturing, attachment-based models of care to the forefront. I wholeheartedly believe in promoting positive outcomes for our children through attachment-based principles and play-based learning. I have personally seen this approach work with the hundreds of children I have worked with over the years, no matter the temperament or behavioural challenges presented.
Becoming a mother myself really opened my eyes to just how much current research is not made readily available to parents. I was completely overwhelmed by the amount of marketing pushed onto families, and particularly new mothers who are told that they need to invest in every gadget and toy for their children to develop into well-rounded individuals, or be able to sleep through the night from day one. Due to my background in applying attachment science in my practice, I couldn’t help but question the narratives so strongly pushed onto new families about what children really needed; which are ultimately focused on creating a dissolution of the mother-infant dyad. This experience led me to dive even deeper into research on the biology and psychology of infant sleep, lactation, attachment, and play-based learning. I am driven to make this knowledge more commonly known among families and empower parents to reconnect with their inner knowing, helping to tune out the noise of clever marketing tactics.
My ultimate mission is to create a revolution in the way we raise our children. I want to empower caregivers to trust their intuition and have an understanding of the science that supports our innate inner knowing.
